         La Tomatina is one of the most internationally famous festivals of Spain, it's also well known around the world.
        The festival is celebrated in the town of Buñol, in Valencia, on the last Wednesday of August. It's one of the events that attracts tourists in Spain.

120 tons of fruit are available for the event.

The party is very simple, throw tomatoes in the other participants.

        It is known that the tradition was born in 1944, but not sure how he was born. There are many theories of the origin of the party: a food fight among friends, a "war" between young people, an attack with tomatoes spectators at a carnival parade, a purpose to tomatoes that fell from a truck after an accident, among many other.

P.S: Because of the high price of tomatoes, the festival has not been confirmed this year.
